Hello, friends! It's that time of the week again...time for the High Vibes and a Mic Blog! We had a very fun and productive weekend. Last Friday, we met up for lunch and we also did a photoshoot session at a nearby studio. The pictures turned out great! Some of them are already up on our website. Check it out and let us know what you think!
We’re also updating our podcast cover so stay tuned for more changes on the way.
Now let’s talk about our latest episode! On episode 85 we had a great conversation with a very inspiring woman. Nanci Reed is a mom, Wife, Mentor, Author, Speaker, Spiritual Teacher, and Pilates Instructor. She helps women cultivate their individuality and discover their own life purpose without external influences, judgment of others or comparisons. To listen to the full episode, click here:
Nanci has been highly intuitive and empathic throughout her life. She knew she operated in different levels from people within her circle. Still, she felt that the only way for her to "survive" in the outside world was to conform and act like everybody else. Therefore, she learned to adapt to different circumstances and would do anything to avoid conflict or being seen as different. She became the person people wanted her to be.
After a car accident, however, Nanci realized she could no longer ignore her calling and who she really was inside. Everything led to her joining a spiritual thought system called The Course of Miracles. She was introduced to the original teacher, Dr. Kenneth Wapnick, who later became her mentor.
Dr Kenneth deeply impacted Nanci's spiritual journey. Through his teachings, she learned the importance of deliberate kindness and the ability of being “in this world, but not of it”. That’s when she finally came into alignment with her Higher Self. From that moment on, things started changing rapidly in her life.
A couple of years ago, Nanci published an award-winning book called Happily Ever Now, Not After Everything Else is Perfect. She wishes to help women take a lighter heart when looking at things in life and appreciate how perfectly imperfect they are. She advocates for kindness all around and for women to approach sustainable happiness through their imperfect experiences and actions. It’s all about embracing gentleness and avoiding too much judgement.
At the end of our conversation Nanci shared with us how she met her husband and her challenging pregnancy. These are fantastic stories that you should not miss so be sure to listen the full episode to know more!
You can find all of Nanci Reed’s information under the episode’s show notes. If you liked this episode, please SHARE with your friends! We want to reach as many women as possible with positive messages from inspiring writers and mentors like Nanci. Also, stay tuned for our Wednesday episode. It’s going to be about easy family recipes!
That’s it for today, friends! Take care and keep your vibes high!
Cheers,
Silvia and Veronique
